Pre-dating this trend, Patrick Campbell (Laurel Glen) was the first California producer to take advantage of the high desert-like climate of Mendoza. Utilizing the low-yielding old-vines high on the steppes of the Andes mountains, Campbell consistently produces robust Malbecs with surprisingly lithe mouth-feels.
