Argentina is fast becoming the newest hot-spot of the wine world, and Malbec, its golden child. Pre-dating this trend, Patrick Campbell (Laurel Glen) was the first California producer to take advantage of the high desert-like climate of Mendoza. Utilizing the low-yielding old-vines high on the steppes of the Andes mountains, Campbell consistently produces robust Malbecs with surprisingly lithe mouth-feels.
Typical of the Malbec varietal, Terra Rosa has a rich smokiness, intense blueberry flavors, violet top-notes and a full mid-palate structure. Atypical of the current trend in Mendoza, Terra Rosa is lighter, with more balanced definition; without the abundance of oak and alcohol, the purity of the Malbec fruit shines. 100% ancient vine Malbec.
