Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Review Rated 91. "Inky ruby. Suave, vanilla-accented blackberry, blueberry and plum preserve aromas offer impressive energy and thrust. Surprisingly elegant on the palate, with vibrant dark berry and cherry flavors complicated by slow-building spice and cracked pepper. Silky tannins add structure to the long, zesty finish. Delicious already but built to reward a few more years of aging."
Winemaker's notes: Deep red magenta with distinct purple hue. Complex berry nose of blackberry and violets with a lifted apricot aromatic note from the Viognier. Rich chocolate and liquorice with vanilla oak lift adds depth and complexity. Ripe, full tannins with a soft finish yet with crisp acidity. Black fruits and vanilla and coconut oak nuance adds depth. An excellent after taste with chocolate and Xmas cake like complexity.
